Peter aged 30-34
Peter accepted the Captaincy of Somerset CCC. This episode in his life is chronicled both in Sometimes I Forgot To Laugh and in his Diary The Somerset Affair. He later resigned the Captaincy, but stayed on for a couple of years.
Peter Roebuck was captain of Somerset County Cricket Club from 1986-1988.
